AIU Nominated for the Mixology Awards 2020/21

The annual Mixology Awards seek to bring together the very best from the field of commercial interiors. The awards are run by Mix Interiors, a reputed publication for commercial interiors in the United Kingdom. This year, Mix Interiors has chosen to recognize the stunning interiors of the American International University campus.

Every year the awards celebrate and highlight key projects, people, products and places within the realm of commercial interiors. They provide a platform to showcase the best of designs and aim to draw attention to milestones within the industry. The Mixology Awards recruit the best in the field to take on the challenging task of judging entries and nominations. This year, the judges include industry-leaders including the likes of Tim Yendell, Global Head of Workspace Transformation at BP, and Nick Threlfall, Director of Design at Regal London, among others. The highly anticipated awards lead the way as the most prestigious event that celebrate dynamic and innovative design over the last year.

Mixology receives hundreds of entries every year, which are then shortlisted to nominees. This year, AIU was submitted as an entry by our design lead partner, NBBJ in London. All entries were reviewed through rounds of deliberation, and the esteemed judging panel selected a few they deemed brilliant enough to be considered for a Mixology Award. We are extremely excited to announce that the American International University has been nominated for the prestigious award! We have been nominated as a finalist for Project of the Year: Public Sector Interiors.

The design of the campus interiors of AIU is a result of years of hard work, planning and collaboration between the team from NBBJ and Jacqueline Shaw of AIU. The interiors were driven by Ms. Shaw’s vision to have a modern, distinct and state-of -the-art learning environment with a university of similar caliber to match.

We are thankful to Mixology for the recognition and to NBBJ for their dedication to the AIU project!
