Demand for engineers is expected to grow as there are pressing infrastructure, health and safety, and security issues to solve.  Engineers can find careers in both the public and private sectors in Kuwait and abroad. At AIU, The School of Engineering and Computing is home to the Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

With so many careers predictably phasing out, the field of Engineering has been one with increased demand over the years. Why is Engineering on the rise? According to Forbes, there are 1.6 million engineering jobs available in the US alone. Two-thirds of these are comprised of three types of engineers, all paths incidentally offered as majors at AIU. 

Engineering is also a highly-paid profession, with 7 of the top 10 paying majors considered to fall in the engineering category. Not to mention, the field of Engineering comes equipped with job security. According to Matt McLendon, Director of communications at Georgia Tech, “Engineers are some of the most sought-after professionals in our society today because they imagine the future and make it happen.” 

This is the right time to pursue an Engineering Degree at AIU.
