Divine Creations 2025: A Celebration of Artistic Brilliance at AIU 

The Divine Creations event at American International University was a breathtaking celebration of student creativity and artistic vision. Bringing together emerging artists from AIU and beyond, the event showcased a vibrant collection of works across a diverse set of categories—from traditional painting to experimental mixed media. 

Held on campus, the event included an inspiring artist panel featuring Alia Al Azzeh, Mosaed Alshehab, and special guest Jassim Mi’raj, who shared insights into their creative processes and the evolving role of art in today’s world. 

Students and faculty alike came together to honor the talented individuals whose works captivated the judges and audience alike. Here’s a look at this year’s winners by category: 

In the High School Category, Farah Qudeimat secured First Place with her stunning piece “Harmonious Equilibrium,” followed by Retaj Fahad Al Hajeri in Second Place for “The Crops,” and Jessica Michael Medhat Wadiee Ishak in Third Place with “The Waves.” Honorable Mentions were awarded to Habiba Mohamed Mounir Hamzawy for “The Blurred Beautiful Bird,” Basmala Tarek for her two compelling works “The Gentle Giants of the Sea” and “The Hope That Emerges From the Deep,” and Refah Aljeidi for “The Hawk.”

In the University Category – Photography, Zainab Alshammaa won First Place with her vibrant photograph “Painted Lady Butterfly.” Eiman Al Sumait received Second Place for “God Crops,” and Third Place was awarded to Zahraa Ahmad Mohammad Bahzad for her series of photography submissions. An Honorable Mention went to Haya Lafi for “Desert Stars.”

The Painting division saw Eid Al Harbi take First Place with “The Lost Vessel,” a deeply expressive work, followed by Zahraa Hamed in Second Place with “Morning Breaks,” and Moudhi Al Thuwani in Third Place for “Night Mountain Piece.” Zahraa Alostath received an Honorable Mention for “The Flower.”

In the 3D Models & Sculpture category, Sheikha Yousef Albader earned First Place with “Islamic Art and Architecture,” a masterful blend of cultural heritage and modern design. Shouq Seghayer took Second Place for “Ocean’s Touch,” while Ali Karam placed Third with his detailed 3D print “Jungle Owl.” Honorable Mentions were presented to Jumana Al Shatti for “Divine Creation Starts With You” and Hajar Al-Othainah for “The Heart of Life.”

In the Mixed Media category, Sara Behbehani was awarded First Place for her evocative piece “Mary and Lamb,” with Sbiekah Albaloul in Second Place for “Celestial Blueprint,” and Ghaya Al Ansari earning Third Place for “Abundance of the Earth.” Honorable Mentions included Sheikha Al Harbi for “Dramatic Affect,” Maryam Al Mutairi for “Heaven and Hell,” Jewellara Jumma for “Born Again,” Jouri Bassam for “The Vase’s Embrace,” and Mariam Ahmad Hussain for “Masterpiece in Every Touch.”

Finally, in the Calligraphy & Typography category, Amar Al Shabeeb received First Place for the elegant piece “Al Hamdullah,” while Abdulaziz Al Harami secured both Second and Third Place for “Calligraphy Tower” and “Modern Calligraphy,” respectively. An Honorable Mention was awarded to Retaj Mohammad for the expressive piece “Dramatic Affect.”

From delicate brushstrokes to bold conceptual ideas, Divine Creations 2025 highlighted the immense potential and passion of our student artists. Congratulations to all the winners and participants whose work made this year's event unforgettable!
