AIU Celebrates Kuwait National and Liberation Day with Cultural Festivities

American International University (AIU) proudly honored Kuwait’s National and Liberation Day with a vibrant celebration filled with cultural performances, traditional workshops, and engaging activities. The event, held on campus, brought together students, faculty, and the wider community to celebrate Kuwait’s rich heritage and independence. With a mix of educational and entertaining experiences, the day was a tribute to national pride and unity.
A Day of Culture, Tradition, and Celebration
The celebration kicked off at 11:00 AM with the national anthem, setting a patriotic tone for the day. Following the opening remarks, attendees had the opportunity to participate in a Sadu weaving workshop, a tribute to Kuwait’s traditional textile artistry. This hands-on experience allowed students and guests to connect with an essential part of Kuwaiti heritage.
One of the major highlights of the event was a performance by Dayem Alsaif, a well-known band whose presence electrified the audience. AIU students also showcased their talents through cultural performances, reflecting their deep appreciation for Kuwait’s history and traditions.

As part of the celebrations, AIU hosted an awards ceremony to recognize students and individuals who made outstanding contributions to the event.
