AIU hosted its first ever ‘Design Days’ event from February 20 to 22, 2023. This 3-day event was aimed at giving students and members of the AIU community an opportunity to join together in a collaborative space and encourage them to express their ideas through various art forms.

Special guests were invited to the event including graffiti artist, Abdullah Al Enezi, entrepreneur and string art expert, Maisam Qassem, along with designer and producer, Hanan Al Ali. Students had the opportunity to engage and interact with these guests and learn more about their creative industries.

Each guest also presented workshops to students based on their unique expertise and art style. Other workshops held during the event consisted of marbling, origami, decoupage and collaging. These were aimed at introducing students to new art forms through which they can express their ideas.

The ‘Design Days’ event also featured an art exhibition that provided students from AIU’s School of Architecture and Design the opportunity to showcase their creative and artistic designs to all the visitors at the venue.
